Arrangements for this big “Recruitment” week in Stratford are now well underway, with approval from the District Executive and support from most Supermarkets, Crowne Plaza, Town Council, District Council and the Street Market.
The objective will be to recruit at least 20 new adult volunteers for District and Groups and 20 new Active Support members.
Following a launch event, it is planned to promote Volunteering in the Stratford Herald, Supermarkets, Shop, with banners, leaflets and Social Media. The week will conclude with a District wide Community Impact project. (have you any suggestions).
Meetings have been held with your GSL’s and Group Chair to discuss the event.
What do we have to do in our Group? You ask. Well please keep Saturday 23rdand Saturday 30th March free for everyone to take part in out Recruitment Drive.
Saturday 30th – we hope to hold a “Huge” Environmental clean Up (litter Pick) with every Group involved in your area and in the Town Centre. We hope to discuss this with each local Parish and Town Councils.
Then finally an Open Meeting will be held on Wednesday 3rd April at Stratford Town Hall drop in from 6.30 – 8.30 pm for everyone interested in volunteering.
In addition there will be an Open Meeting on Wednesday 10th April at Scout Hut at 1st Shipston Scouts from 6.30 – 8.30pm
This is a huge marketing and sales campaign to find more volunteer leaders for Groups and district – please be part of it. If we all do out bit, then we will succeed in recruiting more volunteer leaders.
