From 22nd – 30th March Stratford District was saturated with promotion for “Volunteers to Help Scouts”. The aim is to recruit 20 new Leaders and 20 Adult supporters the local papers carried Double Page spreads, there was a Launch at the Crowne Plaza with over 50 distinguished guests.
The evening was presented by Scouts, Explorer Scouts and Leaders and was broadcast live on Welcome Radio.
The following day Groups ‘Bag Packed’ at all the major Supermarkets talking to many people who were interested in volunteering. Then every Group in the District undertook a giant Environmental Clean-up (Litter Picking) once again talking to people who were interested in “Volunteering to Help Scouts”
The Coventry and Warwickshire radio car came to Stratford on Wednesday 27th and interviewed 2 leaders.
Let’s hope we get the 20 new Leader and 20 New Adult Supporters!
