Role of District Secretary
Summary
The District Secretary is elected by the District Scout Council at the Annual General Meeting every year. He reports to the District Chair.
The Role of the District Secretary covers many administrative activities including
- Preparing quarterly executive meetings with District Chair
- Taking minutes of Executive Meetings – and ensuring actions are followed up
- Maintain a record of all District Administrators and Advisors working in conjunction with Adult Advisor Committee.
- Assisting in the preparation of the annual census with Group Secretaries.
- Developing administrative activities as appropriate to the time.
- The role is a non-uniformed position, but DBS certification will be undertaken.
